As a pioneer of change herself, Emily has taken her experiences both successes and failures as an entrepreneur, speaker, and coach to empower individuals to unleash their potential to pioneer radical change. Leaders, entrepreneurs, families and students from multiple back rounds and in locations around the world have joined in Emily’s mission to first impact the lives of others and in turn impacting their own.

 

 

 

Leslie Scott is well known not only for her talents but her unwavering work ethic, inspiring public speaking, contagious positive energy and bold use of movement to spread a positive message! Leslie is the Founder of the non-profit “Youth Protection Advocates in Dance” (YPAD) whose Mission is to build empowered dance communities through education and activism and stop all exploitation of children in performing arts and keep youth happy, healthy and safe in dance.

 

 

 

Tricia Gomez, Global Director of Rhythm Works Integrative Dance and creator of the popular Hip Hop In a Box, is considered a pioneer in early childhood hip hop education. Through her Rhythm Works Integrative Dance certification program, Tricia is blazing a new path of opportunity for students who have learning differences and special needs by educating dance teachers on all aspects of becoming an inclusive studio.

In 2004, Karen opened her own school The Rage Box Contemporary Dance Center to offer students a contemporary dance education with a classical base.  The studio has grown to an enrollment of over 1000.  The studio has allowed her to create and develop her own projects such as – Craze A New Dance Experiment a 2 day dance convention which premiered in October of 2016.  This year marks her 36th year of teaching and choreographing ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary and tap dance. She has influenced and mentored many teachers and choreographers in the industry today. 

 


With an emphasis in preserving the culture of Hip Hop, Lance’s work focuses on the original street styles of Hip Hop Dance. Lance’s choreography television credits include Disney Channel’s, “Lemonade Mouth”, “Shake It Up”, “SYTYCD” Season 12, ABC’s “Good Morning America”, and “The View”. His performance credits include the “American Music Awards”, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “The Rosie Show”, “Nuestra Navidad”, “Good Morning America”, “The View”, and the “Teen Choice Awards”. He has performed with music artists Imagine Dragons and Khalid, Lady Gaga, Ciara, and Gloria Estefan. Together, Lance and his wife, Danielle created “On the DL” in 2008, collaborating in dance, fashion, and education. Their acclaims include TEDxBaltimore, co-directing/choreographing two original works entitled “Working America” and “366”, traveling around the world teaching master classes and setting choreography. Lance is represented by The Movement Talent Agency.

 


Develops inspiring contemporary compositions that are sought after by other innovators, contemporary companies and educational institutions. Her film credits include Disney Channel's “Teen Beach Movie” and “Teen Beach 2”, and “Lemonade Mouth”.  Danielle’s television credits include “SYTYCD” Season 8, “The Rosie Show”, “Nuestra Navidad”, “The View” and “Good Morning America”.  She performed numerous times with Gloria Estefan to include in the music video, “Wepa”. Together, Danielle and her husband Lance created “On the DL” in 2008, collaborating in dance, fashion, and education. They are excited to to collaborate on the NX3 Fashion line; developing, designing and creatively directing the brand's collection. Danielle is represented by The Movement Talent Agency for choreography and education.

Q: Is the event free to attend?

A: YES! It is absolutely FREE to attend! In fact, we pay you! To learn more about how much you can earn for attending, review review our travel incentive page! We offer one reward per studio!

Q: Do I need to attend the length of the show hours listed?

A: No! Curtain Call team members will be available to between the hours listed. Studio owners can come and go as they please, between the hours listed. But don't forget, we have lots of incredible industry experts to hear from AND our fabulous Costumes & Cocktails event on Saturday evening! 

Q: Will there be guest speakers?

A: YES! We are so thrilled and honored to have Leslie Scott from Youth Protection Advocates in Dance (Y.P.A.D.), Emily Weber from More Than Just Great Dancing, Tricia Gomez from Rhythm Works, Danielle Sten & Lance Guillermo of On The DL, and Karen sharing their wonderful industry insight. 

Q: Do I need a ticket to enter?

A: No ticket is necessary to enter. There will be a registration table upon entry to sign in!

Q: Can studio teachers and administrative staff come with me to the event?

A: Yes! In fact, we welcome and encourage you to bring your team for a costume planning event! Plus, the city of Baltimore has a lot to offer! 

Q: Is there a travel incentive?

Q: Do I have to pre-register in order to attend?

A: We highly recommend your RSVP to attend the event, but it is not required. We welcome walk-ins.
